Pertemps' Patti Sidhu reaches finals of equality awards
A Pertemps senior manager has been recognised for her commitment to increasing Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) representation in the workplace by being named as an equality awards finalist.
Patti Sidhu, who manages the Basildon Industrial branch of Pertemps, is a finalist for the Role Models in the Workplace Award – Small Organisation category at the Business in the Community Race Equality Awards 2016.
The annual awards, which this year celebrate their tenth anniversary, are the only race equality at work awards in the UK and recognise organisations that are taking positive action towards race equality and inclusion in the UK workplaces.
Sidhu was nominated and shortlisted as a finalist for the proactive work she has done to actively promote ethnicity, diversity and inclusion throughout Pertemps in various ways.
Her achievements include being a lead mentor for the Midlands Mentoring Circle working with management for leading clients and running the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, to the extent that it has now become a main focus of the Pertemps business.
Sidhu and Pertemps join 33 finalists across 10 categories. The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner, which will take place on 11th October 2016 at the London Hilton Park Lane.
