RI supports annual Deal Room event, raising £820 for Children in Need

On Tuesday 5th July, Lloyds Bank, Gateley plc and Optima Corporate Finance hosted its annual Deal Room, with support from Recruitment International.


Despite the uncertain and volatile times in the last few weeks, post Brexit results, the annual Deal Room was held with recruitment company owners and managers networking at Gateley’s offices overlooking St Paul’s.


The event attracted a record number of guests, with over 85 recruiters attending. The talk was of life post Brexit but the underlying message from the hosts was one of “business as usual”. They stated that M&A activity in the sector has not diminished and both vendors and buyers remain interested in engaging, so whilst uncertain times will undoubtedly remain in the short term, the views were very much that we should not talk ourselves into a recession, but should look for opportunities that may now arise.


The hosts conducted a prize draw for attendees to win a bottle of champagne, which raised £410.00. This is to be match funded by hosts Lloyds Bank, raising a total of £820.00 in the evening for Children in Need. Thanks to all who attended and donated.
