Athona Recruitment raises over £500 at annual charity football match

For the third year running, Athona Recruitment won its annual charity football match 4-0, this year against Chelmsford police football team LPA South – (Local Police Area).

The annual match held at Brentwood Town FC saw staff from Athona Recruitment, LPA and friends & families of both teams show up in support of Athona’s 2015-16 charity. The company says the day was a great success and raised over £500 for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – also known as Doctors Without Borders.

Entertainment on the day included a giant four-in-a-row (kindly donated by Brentwood’s Baytree Centre), a guess the winner competition and a raffle, which raised additional funds for the charity.

Stewart London, Athona’s MD, said, “Our annual football match is a great way for us to support our chosen charity. This year’s match definitely didn’t disappoint and was the perfect last event for our 2015-16 charity, MSF.”

Médecins Sans Frontières is a humanitarian-aid, non-governmental organisation (NGO) that exists to save lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most.
