Jobshop UK announces collaboration with EuroTraining
Jobshop UK has teamed up with EuroTraining to create a ‘Ready for Work’ program training foreign national candidates in all they need to know about working in an entry level office role within a UK business.
The company says that in a candidate short market, which has left many companies struggling to fill vacancies with the talented staff key to the success of the business, Jobshop UK has bridged this gap by tapping into the underutilised foreign nationals in the UK job market.
Operations manager at Jobshop UK, Dan Wale, commented, “Companies are cautious to take a chance on these candidates due to the perceived standard of their English language abilities within a business context, and, their lack of actual UK work experience. The ‘Ready for Work, Professional Course’ will put all candidates through a series of training assessments to ensure they are suitable to work within the UK and are capable of carrying out the roles they are put forward for.
“Candidates will also be put through a two week non-paid placement within an organisation in the Bournemouth area, and we are looking to develop relationships with local businesses willing to take on these candidates on a no cost, no commitment basis. We recently had our first candidate, Andrea Conti [pictured], graduate from the course with fantastic feedback from all concerned, so we know this is something that’s going to prove popular, as we move forward.”
Miles White, senior facilities officer at Bournemouth Borough Council, said, “We were very happy to be involved with the ‘Ready For Work Program’, which gave us an opportunity to trial the skills of the candidate, Andrea, whilst giving him some UK work experience and helping him improve his language skills in return.”
