Parkside launches education division
Parkside Recruitment has launched a new division - Parkside Education.
The company says that the newly assembled team will specialise in placing education professionals on a temporary, contract and permanent basis to primary and secondary schools, academies, multi-academy chains, free schools and independent schools in Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and West London.
According to Parkside, the education division shares its focus of building long standing relationships, they aim to deliver high levels of customer service evidenced by quality testimonials and repeat business from loyal clients.
Division manager for Parkside Education, Brian Poxon, said, “We all remember our favourite teacher, especially those who shaped our lives the most. Our aim is for those teachers to come from Parkside.”
Poxon is chair of governors for a Primary School in Bracknell Forest, and believes there are some fantastic opportunities in the current market. He added, “Rising pupil numbers, academisation, shortage of teachers and pressure on schools to raise standards means there are some exciting challenges for the education sector”.
According to a recent report by PwC – “Feeling The Squeeze: schools’ response to constraints in teacher recruitment”, schools are using recruitment agencies significantly more in their efforts to fill vacancies within a difficult teacher supply environment. Parkside says, however, that recruitment agencies need to better demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of their offering and quality of candidates provided.
