Staffline appoints non-executive director
Staffline has appointed Tracy Lewis as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
The company says Lewis brings with her a wealth of senior management experience in retail and manufacturing. Most recently she was CEO of Wacoal Europe (formerly Eveden Group). Lewis joined the business in 2003, taking it from private to PE backed, and then oversaw a trade sale to Japanese headquartered Wacoal Holdings Corp. in 2012.
During her tenure the company grew from a £30m turnover UK centric business to achieve sales volume of almost £100m by 2015 with more than 60% of this coming from export markets, spanning over 50 countries. The sale to the Wacoal Group valued the business at £148m, generating a 3.8x return on investment for minority shareholder Lloyds Development Capital, (LDC).
Lewis was the recipient of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for UK PE backed businesses in 2012 and was named CEO of the year for the Midlands by the British Venture Capital Association in 2013.
Her previous executive roles included management positions within Marks & Spencer Plc, Mothercare Plc and Next Plc. Lewis was also a non-executive director of LDC backed Original Additions (Beauty) Ltd until March 2016, when the business was sold to US-based PDC Brands.
Lewis will chair the Nomination committee and be a member of both the Audit and Remuneration committees.
Andy Hogarth, CEO of Staffline, said, "On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Tracy to Staffline. She brings with her extensive experience in retail and manufacturing from a range of different roles which will support Staffline in our strategic aims as we continue to build on our market-leading position and deliver shareholder value."
Lewis added, "I am thrilled to be joining Staffline at such an exciting stage in its development. I have been impressed with all I have seen to date and am looking forward to working with the team to support the Group's continued success."
