Talent Management Group raises funds for Dame Kelly Holmes Trust
To mark the start of the Rio Olympics, talent management specialist Nicholas Associates Group has challenged its teams to get into the competitive spirit and hold their own Office Olympics.
As well as encouraging some healthy competition at work, the Group is also raising funds for its National Charity Partner Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
The partnership was launched earlier this year to recognise their mutual goals to support young people facing disadvantage into sustainable employment.
It demonstrates the power of two leading organisations working together to combine their respective specialist knowledge and experience and provide a seamless support mechanism for empowering young people. A pilot initiative is underway in Leeds to work with participants at the end of the Trust’s local programme as they seek to transition into work.
As part of the Office Olympics initiative taking place throughout the Rio Games, teams from across the UK will be pitting themselves against each other in events such as rubber band archery, paper aeroplane javelin and desk chair sprints, with the chance to win official #beyourbest Office Olympics chocolate medals.
Nicholas Associates Group chief executive officer, Lisa Gainsford, said, “This is a wonderful and fun opportunity for our staff, clients and candidates to embrace the spirit of sporting competition, whilst supporting our National Charity Partner Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. We are proud and privileged to work with Dame Kelly Holmes Trust as a trusted partner in their aim to transform the lives of young people facing disadvantage. And raising funds and awareness for the Trust is an important part of our support work. Their ethos and values absolutely align to our own purpose, which is to enable people to be their best.”
Clients of Group companies including Apprentice Employment Agency, Stafforce, Nicholas Associates Professional, Ashley Kate HR and XL Graduate Placements are being encouraged to support the teams in their fundraising efforts, or even to take part in the competition.
