IT Works Resource Group support runner to raise money for charity
IT Works Resource Group is sponsoring Tom Hunt in his challenge of running from Land’s End to John O’ Groats within the month of September. He has the aim of raising £15,000 for the ME Association whilst setting a world record as the youngest person to complete the incredible 838mile endeavour at just 18 years old.
Running solo for the greater portion of his challenge, Hunt was joined by Danny Ramsden, Kieran Bamber and Matt Stanley from IT Works Resource Group, who ran alongside him for the Preston ‘section’ of the day’s run. Setting off on a rainy Lancashire afternoon, the group ran five miles together from Forton towards Lancaster. Hunt later went on to complete the remaining 23 miles of that day’s run that afternoon.
He commented, “It was great to have company for the Preston leg of the run, it really helped to keep up my motivation for the day. Overall, I’ll be doing 38 marathons within 30 days and the support of companies like IT Works are greatly appreciated by me and the ME Association.”
Tim Bashall, CEO of IT Works Resource Group, said, “We’re really proud to support Tom in his unbelievable endeavour, he is really an inspiration to our team and his dedication is incredible. We’re right behind Tom and wish him the very best luck in completing his challenge and raising £15,000 for the ME Association.”
