Plum Personnel shortlisted for Chamber Award
Plum Personnel Ltd has been shortlisted for the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Business Awards in recognition of its innovative approach to helping individuals enhance their employability skills.
Based in Solihull town centre, the company is a finalist in the ‘Best use of Innovation’ category for its online Learning Zone, which offers free training and coaching to job seekers.
Director, Susie Ankrett, explained, “We know from talking to local business leaders that the shortage of talent is something they struggle with across all sectors. We wanted to create a bridge between helping employers benefit from an untapped pool of talent and to support individuals develop their skills to assist in their quest for employment.
“Jobs transform lives and we’re committed and passionate in playing an important part in the lives of both job seekers and organisations seeking talented people. We’re determined to help make local businesses more successful by helping them secure the people they need.
“Unemployment is reaching a 10 year low however employers are struggling to find the right candidates for their roles. There is a rising skills shortage locally and nationally. We know that candidates with potential are often overlooked because they do not have the specific level of skill required for a role. Organisations are losing out as they are forced to select from a shrinking pool of talent.
