Advanced Global Energy signs deal with Fair Wind
UK-based Advanced Global Energy (AGE) has signed a deal with Danish firm, Fair Wind. This deal will see Advanced Global Energy work closely with Fair Wind across a range of maintenance and construction projects throughout the UK and Europe.
AGE are a supplier to the low carbon sector. It specialises in providing staff to the wind, nuclear, tidal and solar energy sectors. The company is based in Liverpool but operates on a pan-European basis. It has been providing renewable energy candidates since 2012.
Fair Wind provides specialist and bespoke services to OEMs, owners and operators of wind turbines, which includes solutions for operational, maintenance, inspection and repairs. As well as operating in Denmark the company operates across Europe and Africa.
The deal has been progressing for the last few months and directors of both companies met last week to finalise the finer details. As part of the deal AGE will supply qualified temporary and contract wind energy staff in various locations throughout the UK and Europe.
The deal comes at a time when the UK government has pledged to more than double wind energy production by 2020 to fall in line with EU standards set in 2012. Currently, the UK's wind energy production stands at 4Gw and that is set to grow to 10Gw in four years’ time.
AGE's director, Ben Leigh, said, "This is an exciting time for the wind sector, the UK are pushing ahead with plans to develop more wind farms as is Europe. Working with Fair Wind will allow us to provide more candidates across many geographical locations. We are already seeing an increase in trade as a results and signing a preferred supplier agreement will allow Advanced Global Energy to grow in line with UK and European wind energy targets."
