BelHealth Investment Partners acquires AHS Staffing
BelHealth Investment Partners has acquired AHS Staffing.
BelHealth Investment Partners states it has acquired AHS Staffing LLC in the hope of creating a national company to serve the staffing needs of health-care providers.
Founded in 2010, AHS provides health-care staffing services. The Edmond, Oklahoma-based company is focused on placing pharmacy professionals and dialysis travel nurses.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed in a news release.
AHS’s founders – chief executive, Mark Smith, and president, Jerick Henley—will continue to lead the company in their respective roles. Smith founded CHG Healthcare Services Inc., a hospital staffing company that Leonard Green & Partners and Ares Management ARES 1.42 % LP paid more than $1 billion to buy it from J.W. Childs Associates in 2012.
BelHealth is focused on services, products and distribution companies in the health-care sector with enterprise values of $20m to $100m; annual revenue of $10m to $100m; and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $2m to $10m.
The New York private-equity firm, which has $500m of assets under management, said it aims to expand AHS in the “highly fragmented” staffing industry by adding recruiters and business development professionals “throughout the country.”
BelHealth added it will “aggressively pursue” add-on acquisitions “in growing and attractive areas of health-care staffing including travel and per diem nursing, locum tenens, physical therapy and lab.”
