LinkedIn releases its Most Socially Engaged Recruiters lists

Hays has been announced as LinkedIn’s ‘Most Socially Engaged Global Recruitment Company’. McGregor Boyall has been ranked number four in LinkedIn’s “Most Socially Engaged” Staffing Agencies in the EMEA Medium Enterprise category for 2016. PIE Recruitment, Opus Recruitment Solutions, Digital Gurus, Spencer Ogden, Oliver James Associates and BPS World were also included on the list.

The award, which takes into consideration content marketing; social recruiting; and social reach and engagement, is awarded to the recruitment company seen to be harnessing the strength of the global social media platform and engaging powerfully with clients and candidates.

Hays, with nearly 1.5m LinkedIn followers, has had a strong presence on the professional social network since 2012, when through the development of cross system awareness it became the first recruitment company to work closely with LinkedIn, providing an even better offering to their clients and candidates. Hays’ CEO, Alistair Cox, who has been a LinkedIn Influencer since 2012, was also recently listed in the top ten most viewed LinkedIn leader profiles in the UK.

Cox (pictured) commented, “We are very pleased to be awarded this title. It is recognition of how expertly our teams around the world have harnessed the power of LinkedIn to bring our services and insights to the global talent marketplace every single day. This connectivity with our market enables us to find great roles for talented people and to help our clients find the very best resources they need for their businesses. We cannot stand still in this mission and this title is testament to the innovation we have brought into our industry.”

Dan Dackombe, director of LinkedIn Talent Solutions, said, "We're delighted to recognise Hays as the Most Socially Engaged staffing agency on LinkedIn for 2016. They lead a list of some of the most forward-thinking recruitment and staffing firms that have successfully adopted social media, and LinkedIn specifically, when it comes to successfully connecting talent with opportunity."

McGregor Boyall’s marketing manager, Kathy Walker, commented, “Following the success of the 2015’s Global rankings it is fantastic that LinkedIn have broadened the categories for 2016, allowing the social engagement strategies of medium and boutique enterprises to be recognised and celebrated.

“LinkedIn is such a key part of our marketing strategy and we are really proud to have been named 4th on the list in recognition of our commitment to high quality interactions, engagement and content.

Laurie Boyall, group CEO at McGregor Boyall, said, “I am delighted to not only be ranked in the Top 25 Most Socially Engaged, but to be ranked so highly. This achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication to “social recruiting” shown by our marketing team and the company as a whole.

“We are constantly looking at ways to ensure we always provide the highest level of service to our clients and candidates, and having a strong presence on LinkedIn is a key part of that strategy. Being recognised by LinkedIn for our efforts is brilliant as we look to evolve our social recruiting strategy further into 2017.”

PIE’s Managing Director, Will Gardner, commented, “When setting up PIE two years ago our social approach to the market was a cornerstone of our strategy. Being recognised as one of the pioneers in this space by Linkedin is a great accolade and further reinforces the good work we are doing.”

Nigel Ramana, group managing director – Europe of Opus, commented, “This is an incredible achievement and great recognition for how engaged our consultants are with their market. It’s so important to be building strong relationships with clients and candidates both on and offline, so we are really pleased with this result.”

Simon Conington, founder and managing director of BPS World and champion of good recruitment, said, “We are extremely proud of all that we have achieved, and hope to continue working closely with LinkedIn in the future. Through LinkedIn we have been able to better engage our current clients and candidates, and to attract new top talent. We are exceptionally proud of our team at BPS World who have helped to build competitive advantage in the market through social engagement. We are excited about how we can continue to use this to our advantage in the future.”

Digital Gurus’ head of marketing, Lisa Mahoney, said, “This is a huge win for us and a real sign of the times. As the debate continues on how recruitment and marketing connect together, this is all the evidence we need that our approach works.

“We have an unrivalled social reach in the digital recruitment world and work hard to look after our online community - this is about producing inspiring, engaging and entertaining content, whilst providing real solutions to the problems candidates and clients are facing on the ground. But our secret weapon are the Gurus themselves – I’ve never worked for a company that’s embraced marketing quite like this one and the results are clear.”

David Spencer-Percival, CEO of Spencer Ogden, commented, ‘‘We’ve always been early adopters of technology at Spencer Ogden – it enables us to stay nimble as we grow and we use it to make sure we source the best candidates for our clients. In an age where we are facing a mass candidate skills shortage, we are dedicated to finding the best talent for our clients and this listing is testament to all the hard work our team puts in to doing just that.”

Anita Saini-Golding, head of marketing for Oliver James Associates, said, “We’ve focused on building a strong content and digital marketing team with a view to growing our audience and engaging with our candidates and clients. Alongside running highly targeted marketing campaigns on LinkedIn, we’ve utilised the platform to provide career advice, highlighting key global and local job ads, specific information on our recruitment services and industry insights from our company’s leaders. This recognition from LinkedIn emphasises the true power of engaging content.”
