Opus shortlisted for National Payroll Giving Award
Opus Professional Services Group has been shortlisted for a National Payroll Giving Excellence Award in the category of Most Innovative Campaign (Small Employer).
Opus has raised £3.5k on average per month through 2016 in support of The OPERA Global Youth Foundation. Backed by an increasing number of Founding Pioneers, including Opus CEO, Darren Ryemill, OPERA is the first recruitment industry movement to empower young people to find, gain and keep a job.
Opus employees have organised a variety of internal fundraising initiatives over 2016 including an Olympics sports day and a Tough Mudder race for The Princes Trust. Opus has also supported local and national charities, recently raising £180 for Macmillan with an office bake sale and £1300 for Children’s Hospice South West through a ‘sweets for charitable donations’ scheme as well as £1,000 for St Peter’s Hospice Midnight Walk.
Nigel Ramana, Opus Group managing director – Europe, recognises the value of such payroll giving programmes. He said, “Though Opus has always been very committed to fundraising, our recent involvement with OPERA has been really rewarding. The opportunity to make a difference in an area we are so passionate about – finding young people work – is something we’re very excited about. Our thanks go out to everyone who took the time to help us fundraise for this initiative.”
Winners of the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards will be definitively announced on Wednesday 16 November at an afternoon ceremony to be held at St Martin in the Fields church in London.
