TEAM adopt Charter of Recruitment Excellence
Following a recent meeting of the TEAM National Executive, the committee agreed unanimously to adopt a Charter of Recruitment Excellence that all Members now accept as part of their TEAM Membership.
"Whilst we are proud to represent some of the best professional recruiters in the UK we have perhaps missed the point in how any potential user of a recruitment business can clearly see what they should expect as a minimum level of service," said Jackie Bennett (pictured), managing director of TEAM.
"After some consultation we have produced two very straightforward documents that each outline 10 basic key elements that we might expect any professional recruiter, operating in any sector to subscribe to. We are aware that many of our Members go much further in their commitments and guarantees but felt that both end user clients and job seekers alike should know that when dealing with any of our Members in nearly 700 locations they can at least be assured of certain minimum standards.
"We are aware that just producing a Charter won't necessarily change perceptions overnight, but at least it's a start and we will continue to engage with Government and other bodies to continue to seek ways of improving professionalism and accountability within the industry."
