Big names lined up for ARC’s public sector IR35 and Apprenticeship Levy conference
ARC is hosting its public sector IR35 and Apprenticeship Levy conference on 9th February 2017.
The changes coming into effect in April will have a major impact on recruitment businesses, so it’s essential that you prepare for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. To help, ARC is hosting a full day’s conference to bring together keynote speakers and recruitment law experts to explore the changes facing hirers and recruitment agencies from the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy and the new Public Sector IR35 rules in April.
In addition to keynote presentations, the conference will also include a seminar by ARC's legal partners Lawspeed on the new Public Sector IR35 rules, exploring how the new rules and the proposed HMRC online tool will work, as well as the options available and handling risk.
Speakers at the event include Adrian Marlowe, chairman of ARC, John Deaville, development director at Key Training, Mark Bull, chief executive of Randstad UK and Neil Withey, training & development divisional director at EEF.
The Apprenticeship Levy is part of the government's drive to train three million new apprentices by 2020 and to address the decreased focus on employee training outside the work place. There is no doubt that the levy will have an impact but how will it affect both those wanting to train as apprentices and the labour supply market?
Public sector IR35 rules heralds a new era, with agencies and hirers set to meet the tax liabilities of their contractors. How will IR35 work and how do the tax implications interact with agency tax legislation, what contracts are relevant and will the new rules affect traditional models of supply? Are there any other possible impacts? The discussion will include an explanation of the proposed new HMRC online assessment tool in context.
The programme will include a seminar on IR35 provided by the recruitment law experts Lawspeed.
The event is aimed at CEOs, MDs, finance and HR directors and other senior staff. By the end of the day ARC says you will have:
· Achieved a real and practical understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy and Public Sector IR35.
· Become informed about the challenges and opportunities that the changes will have on your business.
· Gained insight and knowledge from legal experts Lawspeed.
· Had the opportunity to network with colleagues.
The full conference rate of £350+VAT includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Members of ARC however pay just £280+VAT, a discount of 20%.
