Hospitality jobs network start-up secures £250,000 seed funding

inploi has confirmed it has closed a Seed investment round of £250,000.

The London-based technology start-up, which last year launched an app and a web-based jobs network for the UK hospitality industry, says the funds raised are a combination of follow-on investment from the company’s first round investors.

Investors include the CEO of a large multinational hotel chain, a LinkedIn client executive, and a Geneva-based family office bring the total capital raised by the company to £450,000.

The new investment will be utilised to continue the development of inploi’s product roadmap, building a comprehensive, user-friendly platform to connect job seekers to work opportunities in the hospitality sector, and to continue to grow inploi’s network of candidates and employers.

The inploi platform currently offers an in-app chat, a payment gateway for short term work, and universal accessibility via iOS, Android, and the web. The company has stated that developments in the pipeline will see the company differentiate itself even further from its competitors.

The company have also announced the appointments of Ross Sleight and Jonny Crowe to advisory roles.

Sleight is a mobile and digital expert. He is ex-chief strategy and marketing & operations director of Virgin Games. He has been on the founding team of numerous companies, and is currently the head of strategy at mobile agency Somo.

Crowe is an experienced tech CEO/COO. He is currently the CEO of Dutch online fashion retailer Wehcamp and was previously head of M&A and COO of Naspers in Europe.

Imploi says both Sleight and Crowe bring tremendous experience of building, funding, and scaling online companies to the table.
