SRiCheyenne appoints Jay Hussey as CEO

SRiCheyenne has today named Jay Hussey as its CEO with current CEO and founder, Pat Mastandrea, moving into a new role as vice chairman.

SRiCheyenne was recently launched following the January merger of the US-based media and content recruitment experts Cheyenne Group and UK-headquartered SRi (formerly Sports Recruitment International).

Hussey, based Boston, US, joins SRiCheyenne from Odgers Berndston where he led their US technology and digital transformation practices.

Hussey boasts more than 15 years in executive search with leading global firms. Prior to his role at Odgers Berndtson, he was founder and managing partner of NineSeven Partners, an executive search and talent consulting firm which he merged with Odgers in 2015.

Before his career in search and assessment, Hussey served as resident of Digitas West, the regional operating unit of Digitas, Inc., a publicly traded technology and marketing services company.

Jim Chaplin, CEO of SRi, said, “Jay has an impressive record of building and leading successful teams and is the ideal person to drive our new business forward in North America. I’m delighted to welcome him to the company and am confident SRiCheyenne will thrive under his stewardship.”

Mastandrea commented, “SRiCheyenne is well positioned to address a rapidly evolving global marketplace that demands executive leaders who can navigate new digital and data-driven business models and consumer platforms. Jay’s experience in digital and technology, both as a business leader and as an executive search professional, gives us even stronger capabilities with which to help our clients.”

Hussey added, “I’m thrilled to be joining SRiCheyenne at such an exciting time for the business. With a global reach that cuts across sectors and industries, I’m confident our offering will be extremely well received by clients and candidates alike.”
