Alexander Mann Solutions has implemented a number of initiatives for its global workforce - 3500 colleagues spanning over 80 countries - including launching a global flexible working adoption programme to increase the take-up and consistency of flexible working. This has placed flexible working at the heart of its global operations, supporting an agile workforce and adopting quickly to shifting workforce demands. The company’s flexible working survey also showed an increase in employees who said they had flexible working opportunities. In the past year alone in the UK, numbers rose from 48% to 66%.
Sandy Lucas, global director of people capital at Alexander Mann Solutions, commented, “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for Working Families’ ‘Best flexible working initiative’. Now in our 21st year, Alexander Mann Solutions continues to proactively invest in creating an inspiring and inclusive environment for our colleagues, as well as an agile workforce for our global client-base, a practice which is integral for effective operations, especially amongst the ‘gig’ generation.
“We’re keen to offer our colleagues varied options to the ways in which they chose to work. Quarterly internal surveys carried out amongst our people regularly gauge the attitudes and appetite towards flexible working, allowing us to continually nurture such options into the company culture. Our inclusion on this shortlist is a fantastic recognition, showcasing our dedication to our colleagues’ changing needs, and early-adoption of this way of working amongst other like-minded employers.”
Sarah Jackson OBE, chief executive of Working Families, added, “Congratulations to Alexander Mann Solutions who are through to the final stage of the ‘Best flexible working initiative’ category in the Top Employers for Working Families awards from an outstanding field. The organisations who have made it on to the awards shortlist offer flexible, supportive, agile workplaces that go with the grain of their employees’ lives. This in turn enables them to attract and retain the best people and reap the rewards of a productive, loyal and engaged workforce.”
