Concept Resourcing appoints MD
Concept Resourcing has appointed Matt Gillen as managing director.
Gillen joins Concept with more than 18 years’ experience of the recruitment industry, and brings with him a wealth of expertise gained working in a global recruitment agency where he was managing director of a number of their UK divisions.
Gillen (pictured) said, “Having worked for a private equity business as finance director for a number of years, I wanted to move into a general management role after we sold the business. I was advised by the then chairman to get some sales experience to make me a more rounded business leader so I approached an executive search recruiter for some career advice. At that meeting I was offered a position to head up a new division that they were opening in the Midlands. It was clear that there was a significant opportunity for me to grow within the industry so I accepted the role and never looked back.
“I was attracted to Concept Resourcing for many reasons but with it’s (sic) organic, trusted, meritocratic culture coupled with highly ambitious plans in the robust sectors of Technology and Engineering, it was an obvious career choice for me”.
Working alongside the company’s CEO, Chris Short, Gillen will be responsible for the leadership and development of the business and will play a vital role in delivering the company’s growth plan over the next three years. Alongside this, Gillen will also have a continued focus on building on Concept’s reputation for delivering an outstanding level of service to its candidates and clients.
Short commented, “Concept Resourcing has achieved significant growth over recent years. Matt has an excellent reputation and history of delivering high performance. He is the ideal person to lead the company into its next phase of growth. I am really pleased that he is part of the team.”
