KS International opens London office and celebrates 10th anniversary

KS International is celebrating ten years in business this month.

The company celebrated by hosting a party in May for its clients, team and business associates in Singapore’s Smoke & Mirrors venue, overlooking the Cricket Club grounds and Marina Bay Sands towers.

Sonia Fuller, co-founder, said, “We are incredibly proud of this milestone and it warmed my heart to see so many long-standing partners at our party. Most of these people have worked with us for the ten years and I clearly remember the first meetings we had with them, they have now become great friends. Kyle and I had a goal back in 2007 to build a recruitment business unique to any other which was focused on long term relationships and quality and I believe we have achieved that.”

Kyle Blockley (pictured) and Fuller set up the original company, KS Consulting, in Singapore in 2007. They built their client base focused on banking mainly, and Deutsche Bank and DBS were the first companies they worked with. They successfully rode out the GFC period by diversifying into wider financial services and now have a strong client base across asset management, hedge funds, insurance and private equity and the consulting firms as well.

In January 2015, they chose to set up in the Middle East and set up KS Search. This enabled the company to support its Asia-based clients into this region. In June 2017, the founders set up KS International in London and now the group operates under the KS International umbrella.

Blockley commented, “It’s been an amazing journey. Our Singapore business is very much established and we work with clients in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia from there. Now that we can support our clients globally is very exciting. Our business has evolved a lot over the ten years to move with the markets and demand from our clients.”

Komal Mehta, a director in the Singapore business, stated, “I’ve been with KS for over seven years, that’s a long time in our business! It’s always been challenging and exciting and KS has given me the freedom to develop and manage my clients and offer them a service our competitors simply can’t. Our company has also hugely evolved in the way we work; we are no longer restricted to the rigid 8am to 6pm / Monday to Friday office based structure – we are each given the autonomy to run our day and week based around the needs of our clients around the time zones and our personal lives. I have a young son and I was worried about returning to work but the KS structure allows me to have it all.”
