Hays named in Top Ten Undergraduate UK Employers and finalist in Best New Provider of Work Experience Award
Hays has been named 8th in the UK’s Top 100 Undergraduate Employers and a finalist in the Best New Provider of Work Experience Award by RateMyPlacement, the work placement review website.
As the only recruiter to be listed in the top 100, this is the second consecutive year Hays has been listed in the top ten, and the fourth time being listed in the overall top 100.
The new award for the Best New Provider of Work Experience was created this year to celebrate the introduction of well-designed and effective undergraduate schemes by organisations. Achieving finalist status, Hays introduced a new Intern programme in 2015 which has grown year on year, receiving positive feedback from students.
The recognition from RateMyPlacement comes after Hays was recently named as the 7th best company in Glassdoor’s Best Places to Interview in 2017 Award.
Sandra Henke, group head of people & culture at Hays, said, “We are very proud to once again be recognised by users of RateMyPlacement as one of the Top Ten Undergraduate Employers in the UK and a finalist in the Best New Provider of Work Experience Award, which is a new award category.
“Our Intern programme has been an incredible success, and we are welcoming the majority of our Interns back to our business when they complete their studies. The latest award wins are another great accolade to receive and will help us to attract and retain even more of the most talented undergraduates in the UK through our Intern programme.”
Jack Ely, intern, accountancy & finance, Hays London City, commented, “I’m only a few weeks into my 12 month Internship at Hays in our London City office but already I’m astounded by the level and quality of training I have received. I’ve been exposed to so many different aspects of the business in a real hands-on capacity and I’ve received incredible support from colleagues, managers and directors all across the office.
“I can see why Hays’ Intern Programme receives great reviews on RateMyPlacement and why Hays has been rated as the #1 recruitment company for internships to work at for the last four years. I’m excited for the rest of my Hays story to unfold - I’ve already hit my targets and received my first promotion to manage a full 360 recruitment desk which goes to show both the meritocratic culture at Hays and how Interns are recognised and rewarded here.”
The rankings are based on the reviews of Hays’ undergraduate Interns in the UK who leave feedback based on factors including the skills gained during placements, training and development opportunities and impressions of the company overall.
