Harper Recruitment Group celebrates 30th anniversary
Harper Recruitment Group is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Over the years, the team has provided staffing solutions for many organisations and figures including many large blue chip and global pharmaceutical companies, local and regional public services, SMEs and those in the OMB sector. With offices across the East Midlands, Harper Recruitment Group has placed well in excess of 100,000 temps and thousands of permanent positions to date.
Founder and managing director, Jane Harper, launched Harpers in Nottingham on 16th November 1987, having worked previously for national recruiter Manpower, as well as a local owner-managed business, which was sold to Office Angels.
Harper (pictured left with Darren Bungay) said, “When we launched Harpers, the recruitment sector was quite different to how it stands today. I saw a gap in the market for a recruitment firm with a difference – one that could effectively bring together a personal touch and local knowledge with the corporate customer service ethic associated with the larger firms. This, coupled with our belief in establishing outstanding client relationships and providing a rewarding, positive working environment for our employees, is what I believe has helped us to continually grow to the 20-strong team we have today.
“We are proud to have a very low staff turnover, and for the most part, when staff join our team, they very rarely leave which is something that I believe has also been a key factor to our success.”
