Recruitment industry to raise awareness of homelessness with charity sleep outs
A number of recruitment industry professionals are raising money and awareness of homelessness with sleep outs for charity in the next month.
Social Bite, a social enterprise that runs cafes and restaurants, which employ people who have struggled with homelessness, is hosting a sleep out to help end homelessness in Scotland. The sleep out will take place on 9th December.
Yvonne Moffat, CEO of Net Talent, is sleeping out at the Social Bite event with four other members of the company’s senior management team. Find out more about her campaign here.
Centrepoint, a charity for homeless young people, is hosting a Sleep Out in London on 16th November. It says of the sleep outs: “Sleep Out doesn’t aim to replicate what it’s like to be homeless, but it does give you an insight into the challenges faced by homeless young people: the damp, the biting cold and the struggle to carry on with the next day on minimal sleep.”
Stephanie Moakes from Gemini People is taking part in the London sleep out; you can find out more about her campaign here.
