Aquent opens Reading office
Aquent/Vitamin T has opened its second UK office, in Reading.
By opening the Reading office, Aquent says it will increase support to its candidate and client base by offering more opportunities to meet with them in person and understand their needs and goals.
UK country manager, Mike Berry, commented, “Reading is the home of almost half of the world’s top 30 global brands and has UK’s highest employment rate, meaning that we will be ideally placed to extend our recruitment services to clients and candidates in the region. With companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Huawei, and John Lewis being based in Reading, we can help more candidates in the marketing, creative and digital industries secure great jobs.”
To take the lead on this strategic development, Aquent has appointed Jonathan Hill, an accomplished recruitment manager who is used to growing teams to success. Hill brings with him valuable skills from his experience of opening branches, including business development, staff training and recruitment.
Berry said, “Jonathan impressed us with his drive and passion. His leadership and ability to develop inexperienced consultants to the point of consistently overachieving their targets will be a real asset to the development of the Reading office.”
Hill added, “After extensive research into Aquent as a business and meeting the leadership team, helping grow the UK business was definitely an opportunity too good to turn down. My role with Aquent is a huge personal and professional highlight.”
Using his extensive knowledge of recruitment and business development, Hill has devised a three year strategic plan to help grow the company’s presence in the Thames Valley, starting with utilising the existing client and candidate base and introducing his own network to Aquent. By taking these actions, he is confident this will lay down the foundation necessary for significant growth in the subsequent two years.
