Ricoh UK is part of the Japanese owned multinational imaging and electronics company, providing document management solutions, IT services, commercial and industrial printing and industrial systems technology with the ultimate goal of making traditional processes more efficient and sustainable. For more than 80 years, Ricoh UK has been driving innovation. The Ricoh UK brand has been built around the core principle of creative collaboration, with the business openly recognising its greatest asset as the imagination of its people, thereby making effective HR and Talent Management of key importance.
The Curve Group will provide employee relations advice delivered via a dedicated HR Advice Helpline to Ricoh UK’s management population. The Curve Group will be expanding its relationship with Ricoh and will be rolling out similar services to Ricoh Eire, Ricoh Europe and Ricoh Capital in January 2018.
Commenting on the appointment of The Curve Group, Mark Deer, HR commercial business partner at Ricoh UK, said, “The service provided by The Curve Group will allow the internal HR team here at Ricoh to concentrate on more strategic HR work whilst at the same time allowing Managers to gain access to ‘best-in-class’ Employee Relations and HR support as and when they need it. This is a great partnership and one that I look forward to growing and developing over the coming years.”
Della Wolfe, CEO of The Curve Group, commented, “We are delighted to be working with such an established brand; one that has managed to retain an appreciation of the fact that its competitive advantage comes from its own people. The innovative HR solution that we have created for Ricoh has already proved to be very successful and I’m sure will be the basis of a long and successful relationship.”
Search Consultancy is embarking on further expansion plans to its healthcare division (“Search Healthcare”) in Scotland after being awarded registration by the Care Inspectorate.
Thanks to its Care Inspectorate registration, the team, which consists of over 60 specialist recruitment professionals across the UK, Search can now extend its healthcare recruitment offering to include qualified staff nurses into Scotland. In addition to placing healthcare assistants, support workers and more general support staff to clients North of the border, Search’s offering is now inclusive of both permanent and temporary nursing positions.
Following the appointment of managing director, Lisa McLean, Search Healthcare has been able to bolster its footing across its entire UK footprint, but with its Care Inspectorate registration, can now respond to the increasing demand from its Scotland-based clients to provide temporary nursing staff.
She commented, “This is great news for our clients that already use Search to support the temporary placement of healthcare assistants and support workers, and is in direct response to the growing number of requests we were receiving from our Scotland-based clients to supply nursing roles.
“The provision for supplying temporary nursing staff, particularly in the private sector and in care home environments, has been growing year-on-year, and we are now actively working with the nursing community to help recruit for and fill this growing need.”

International executive search firm, Oakstone, has worked with spend management software company Coupa on expanding its $billion business into EMEA.
Coupa Software has positioned itself as the only purpose-built-for-the-cloud spend management platform that unifies business processes across all the ways employees spend money.
· Grown 862% in the last three years
· Been voted the 22nd fastest growing company in Europe
· Been named global winner of the Red Herring Top 100
· Been named Hottest Emerging Software Company in Europe.
Coupa’s Open Business Network has connected more than two million suppliers across the world.
Gartner has named Coupa as a leader in its Magic Quadrant for procure-to-pay suites.
Coupa was struggling to source new sales executives of sufficient calibre for its European operations. The company had been working with nine different recruitment providers simultaneously in an attempt to attract the right people. But this multiplicity of recruiters resulted in these providers concentrating on the ‘low hanging fruit’ then giving up – instead of persevering to source the best executives.
Oakstone’s sourcing of high quality executives swiftly convinced Coupa that the fastest and best route to quality hires was to use only one executive search company (instead of nine). Oakstone is Coupa’s sole supplier of executives across EMEA:
· Coupa’s most successful salesperson globally in 2014
· Coupa’s most successful salesperson globally in 2015
· 97% retention for all hires – having hired more than 25 people in the last 2.5 years (only one lost)
· Hired entire teams from scratch in Germany, Benelux and the Nordic countries
· Hired additional high achievers into the UK, France, USA and APAC
· Hired leaders of EMEA and Professional Services.
Oakstone senior consultant, Alice Willmott, worked solely on assisting Coupa with its executive search requirements. This recruitment process outsourcing solution saw Wilmott spending three days a week at Coupa’s EMEA HQ in Dublin. She was part of the team there with her own Coupa email address and procurement account.
Coupa is driving growth with a higher calibre of new hires sourced across EMEA.The company also benefits from greater efficiencies by outsourcing its executive search to just one provider:
· Enhanced reputation – candidates are receiving discreet approaches from one company (rather than being at the centre of a nine-agency bun fight).
· No duplication – Coupa no longer receives the same CVs from nine different agencies.
Coupa Software CEO, Rob Bernshteyn, said, “Over the past four years, Oakstone has sourced many key hires for us in EMEA, across all departments – key managers, sales executives, pre-sales and professional services team members.
“Their focus on delivery, cultural fit, background checks, transparency and overall professionalism fits well with our own company ethos. This has reflected in the high retention of people we’ve hired through Oakstone.”
