McDonogh joined Morgan McKinley as transformation director in 2010.
Fitzgerald said, “These key appointments signal our plans for further growth as a market leading global recruitment business. The time is right for the next line of leaders in our business to step forward to continue the success that we are achieving as an expert team of 800 people worldwide.
“Collectively, the board, management and all the team in Morgan McKinley are delighted that Aldagh has accepted this appointment. She is an energetic leader who understands and believes in the culture of our organisation and who has a clear strategic vision for its future growth and commercial success. We also welcome Shane to the key role of chief financial officer for the group worldwide.
“Morgan McKinley is focused on transformative programmes which will drive growth in key areas including the development of new markets and experiences which continue to put our valued clients and talented professionals at the centre of everything we do.
“Our business has evolved constantly over the years and this is a logical progression which will create even further growth in the future. It provides a great opportunity for a next generation of leadership to take the helm from within the ranks of our own high performance management team.”
McDonogh added, “I’m honoured to lead Morgan McKinley as we implement plans to advance our position across all the markets and disciplines that we serve. As a leading professional services recruiter, Morgan McKinley is a company of opportunity and a company with many global opportunities. In line with this, we will be building out our teams to enhance our strengths in every region worldwide. Our company purpose is to help improve people’s lives and our future development will be designed to benefit every client and candidate we work with and everyone in Morgan McKinley.”
The appointment of McDonogh Doherty is part of a strategic succession programme, established by the founding directors of the company, which is specifically designed to empower continuing leadership, growth and development from within the business. As executive chairman, Fitzgerald will chair the board of Morgan McKinley and will step back from his direct operational role while continuing to represent the company as its overall founder and guiding influence.
Fitzgerald added, “The future direction of our company is built on an ambition to improve the position of all of the people – clients, candidates and colleagues - who we work with in markets across the world. Morgan McKinley is a very strong and successful business. Underpinned by a really great brand and a growing global capability, we will continue to go from strength to strength in the future.”
