Fuel Recruitment gains Cyber Essentials accreditation
An REC member recruitment company has been presented with a UK government certification for protecting sensitive client data.
Fuel Recruitment, which specialises in finding staff for the IT industry, is now verified by the government backed Cyber Essentials scheme. Cyber Essentials helps to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrate commitment to cyber security.
Managing director of Fuel Recruitment, Mark Esom (pictured right with Risk Evolves' managing director, Helen Barge), said while they already had processes in place, the Cyber Essentials scheme went one step further in terms of IT security and countering possible threats. He said the company held data both for employers and potential employees and it was vital they did all they could to make that secure.
He commented, “We process a lot of data and it is only right from a moral and ethical point of view as well as our own professionalism that we keep that secure. We supply staff into the public sector, including government departments and without schemes like Cyber Essentials we would not even be considered.”
Fuel Recruitment, which is based in Leamington Spa, was supported through the process of verification in a unique partnership between its IT provider, Zen Zero and risk management company, Risk Evolves. The two companies have joined forces to help firms, like Fuel Recruitment, comply with the latest legislation on data protection, improve their cyber security and gain accreditations and certifications to win more business.
