Outsourcing Inc acquires Allen Lane
The shareholders of Allen Lane have sold 82.5% of the issued shares in its holding company to Outsourcing Inc.
Based and operating in the UK, Allen Lane provides recruitment services for public and not-for-profit sectors. Outsourcing Inc., headquartered in Japan, provides outsourcing, recruiting and placing, worker dispatching, and employment placement services both in Japan and internationally.
Since entering the UK market in 2016, Outsourcing has been growing its UK subsidiaries as part of a focused growth strategy. The deal is expected to enable Outsourcing to offer wider proposals to its governmental client base and utilise Allen Lane's specialist recruiting and consulting capabilities.
Mishcon de Reya represented the shareholders of Allen Lane on the sale. Nick Davis, head of corporate and the recruitment services group, led the Mishcon de Reya team comprised of partner Laura Chandler, managing associate, Pippa Williamson, and associate, Amy Bruce.
Ben Lane, co-founder of Allen Lane, commented, "This is an exciting deal for us and we are pleased to be teaming up with Outsourcing. The team at Mishcon de Reya were once again outstanding in this pivotal deal for us. They bring a wealth of sector experience which sets them apart."
Davis added, "This deal is a great example of the thriving activity that we are currently seeing within the recruitment sector. Outsourcing are a respected Japanese firm looking to expand into the UK market and the purchase of Allen Lane is a key part of achieving that goal. We were very pleased to be working on this deal and we are delighted to have reached such a good outcome for both sides. Again, it shows our pre-eminence as a law firm operating in the recruitment services sector."
