Driver Hire has finalised a national agreement with Team Knowhow.
“We’re delighted that Team Knowhow have added Driver Hire to their list of suppliers,” said national accounts manager, Sarah Brennan. “Their selection process was heavily focussed around compliance. They were impressed with Driver Hire’s rigorous vetting processes, operating systems and specialism within the transport and logistics sector.
“Team Knowhow have 21 depots covering the whole of the UK from Plymouth to Aberdeen. Driver Hire’s nationwide coverage means we’re ideally suited to meet their needs. We’ll be supplying them primarily with truck and van drivers and porters. We’re looking forward to working with them.”
Martin Littlemore, Team Knowhow supplier compliance manager, added, “Delivering products to our customers’ homes and providing them with additional support and services is a central to our mission of helping our customers enjoy amazing technology. We’re really pleased to have this new national agreement with Driver Hire which provides us with a compliant and reliable key supplier of agency workers to a critical part of our operation. We’re looking forward to working together.”
Swanstaff Recruitment has been awarded the contract to run family contact services on behalf of Liverpool City Council and will open two Family Contact centres in Spring 2019.
Swanstaff Recruitment – which already runs the “Swan Family” contact centres in Bedfordshire, Lambeth, Cardiff and Coventry, focuses on a child-led service which includes a number of innovative practices. These incorporate Life Story booklets, which support a child’s journey through contact and feedback forum events, where children and families are invited to participate in various activities and give feedback on their contact experiences.
Lucy Glass, divisional manager for family services at Swanstaff, said, “Swanstaff are delighted to be awarded this contract, our mission is to ensure that the child is at the heart of everything we do. Our centres are family friendly, incorporating themed rooms and providing a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment. We will ensure we provide Liverpool City Council with an outstanding service whilst supporting them to develop a Fair City by providing local recruitment possibilities.”
The Swan Family services in Liverpool are available to both local authority and private referrals and services include Supervised and Supported Contact, Community Contact, Handover and Transport.
