Contract wins 19.03.19
Staffline's PeoplePlus division has been successful in the latest round of Education and Skills Funding Agency’s (“ESFA”) European Social Fund competition, securing contracts worth a total of £35 million over a 27-month period, commencing in April 2019. The contracts cover 10 Local Enterprise Partnership (“LEP”) areas across England.
PeoplePlus currently delivers equivalent European Social Fund contracts worth £14 million, so these wins represent an increase of 250% and make PeoplePlus the largest provider of Skills Support for the Unemployed with a market share of c.47%.
Chris Pullen, chief executive officer of Staffline, commented, “Expanding our presence in training and skills is a key strategic growth priority for our PeoplePlus division. These excellent competition results build on our outstanding track record of supporting unemployed people to move into work, and further demonstrates our continued success in transitioning PeoplePlus into the UK’s leading skills and training provider.”
Quanta and BMS Heavy Cranes have signed an exclusivity agreement to supply contract staff for their projects across Europe – most notably in Norway, Sweden and Spain.
As the exclusive UK recruitment partner to BMS, the Quanta heavy lift team will deliver both commercial and recruitment services support for BMS’ existing and future heavy lift portfolio for onshore wind projects.
BMS Heavy Cranes commented, “The BMS Heavy Cranes cooperation with Quanta has worked superbly well over the past few years, and we feel that the exclusivity agreement will add to further success for our future. We look forward in continuing our partnership with Quanta offering exciting opportunities within the Wind industry.”
Quanta’s energy division has been actively providing recruitment consultancy services to the renewables industry since 2002. During this time Quanta has supported multiple heavy-lift requirements for a number of projects including on and offshore windfarms, EFW plants, tidal, hydro and solar projects in over 25 countries.
Carlo Milone, Quanta divisional manager, said, “Following a highly successful three-year collaboration with BMS Heavy Cranes, I am delighted that we are now entering an exclusivity agreement together and I look forward to building on continued success.”
