Pure’s former Asia MD appointed to lead UK business
After 13 years in Hong Kong, Pure’s Liam Richardson has relocated to the UK as managing director of the legal and compliance practices. Formerly managing director of the firm’s APAC business, Richardson has extensive experience in managing and growing successful recruitment teams.
He will be tasked with further establishing the firm’s footprint in legal and compliance recruitment across the UK and wider Europe.
Richardson commented, “I am excited to be returning to what is one of the world’s most sophisticated and diverse marketplaces and look forward to servicing our clients’ legal and compliance staffing needs as part of a global, coordinated strategy.”
Chris Nelson, CEO of Pure, added, “Liam’s track record of building out recruitment businesses is well proven. During his tenure in Hong Kong, he grew Pure’s business, strategically establishing practice areas, initially in legal, then adding finance, tax, compliance, risk, HR and more recently, technology to the Asia profile. This growth transformed our Asia branch from a legal-only recruitment business to a specialist recruitment agency operating in 7 different practice areas.”
Pure Asia is now headed up by Neil Dyball, a proven business leader with significant APAC experience. Dyball, who succeeded Richardson as managing director of Asia in November 2018, has held senior leadership positions with global recruitment organisations and brings significant management experience across a number of territories including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Sydney, managing teams servicing clients within the banking / financial services, commerce & industry and professional services space.
