Harnham COO joins Women in Recruitment’s Steering Committee

David Farmer, Harnham COO and founding partner, has joined the Steering Committee of Women in Recruitment. 

Sitting as the only male on the committee, Farmer will be supporting the enterprise as they look to establish the recruitment profession as a ‘beacon of excellence’ for gender equality and provide advice and support for their members. 

The appointment is the latest of Harnham’s efforts to promote and encourage diversity, following the publication of its Data & Analytics Diversity Report, and its engagement with a number of tech industry bodies that support better representation. 

Farmer (pictured) commented, “I am incredibly excited to be joining the steering committee for Women in Recruitment. The business case for a diverse and equal workforce is clear - research has continuously proven that diverse teams yield better results. At Harnham we have been working hard to promote gender diversity in our business and have achieved a 50/50 gender split, both company-wide, and on our board. We have also been able to reduce our gender pay gap to just 4%. I am optimistic that, working with an enterprise like Women in Recruitment, we will be able to share our successes and help the industry achieve greater gender parity.”
