Concilium Search to take part in Inspiring Females Summit

Concilium Search is taking part in the Inspiring Females Summit at Chelsea Football Club. The event takes place on Friday 21st June (from 09:30am – 15:30pm) and was founded by students and teachers from the Norwich High School for Girls, which has so far reached more than 1,000 girls.

More than 30 guests are confirmed to take part including former Chelsea FC captain and England international, Katie Chapman; former Olympic and world championship rower, Annamarie Phelps CBE; and the first female company sergeant major at Sandhurst, Kelly Caswell-Treen; as well as CEO of the GDST, Cheryl Giovannoni, and chief executive of the Diane Award, Tessy Ojo.

Partner and chief of staff at Concilium Search, Emilia Gladhaug (pictured), who will also be speaking at the event, said, “I attended a GDST school and so does the daughter of our CEO Maduka Okeke so it seemed a natural fit for us.

“At Concilium Search, we have been championing female empowerment, especially in business, for the last two years and have actively grown our female headcount by 260 per cent since I joined in 2017, with a further five women joining us this summer.

“I am talking about women in business, how business wasn’t an industry I was encouraged to go into but how exciting and full opportunities it is for young women and how much we need female leadership in the corporate world.”

Now, in its fourth year, 450 Year 10 girls from both GDST and state schools across the UK will attend the Inspiring Females Summit and there will be up to 28 individual sessions for girls to choose from throughout the day. There will also be a post event reception for guest speakers, sponsors and young women who have shaped the event, with a panel session of Dads and Daughters, which will include Concilium Search CEO, Maduka Okeke, and his daughter Aimee, focusing on careers and inspiration.

Kirsty von Malaisé, founder of Inspiring Females, commented, “We want to inspire girls, educating them as to what new movements are available in the world of careers as well as to help them access the traditional routes, and empower them to make wise and confident decisions about their futures.

“Key to the ethos of Inspiring Females is presenting the authentic experience of women at all stages of their career and life journeys – we have seen with our own eyes how powerful it is when people of all ages share their challenges with each other and spur each other on to succeed.”
