Birmingham recruitment CEO makes Glassdoor’s highest rated list
Birmingham supply teacher agency TeacherActive has been included in the rankings of the Highest Rated CEOs During Covid-19 in the UK, reported by job advertisement and review site Glassdoor.
TeacherActive has an 84% recommendation rate and a 95% approval rate of their CEO Robin Browett, who ranked alongside Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, HomeServe UK’s Greg Reed and Sage’s Steve Hare.
Positive reviews left by both their recruiters and supply team from March to July referenced a genuine care for all parts of the workforce, a strong sense of support and clear employment progression, even during the challenges that Covid-19 presented. The company was able to keep 100% of their recruiters working and delivering IT equipment to homes across the country. Hundreds of TeacherActive’s teachers were employed as key workers, supporting the national effort. Meanwhile for those who suddenly lost their jobs, the company furloughed as many as possible following HMRC’s guidelines.
The recruitment company also focused on creating a positive environment through initiatives such as a team challenge to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest four and half times, using their stairs at home to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Trust. As well as this, nationwide bingo games, quintessential pub quizzes and the weekly beer o’clock tradition also carried on, strengthening relationships and showing resilience in a time of uncertainty.
CEO Robin Browett says: “It’s not how you treat people during the good times, it’s how you value your workforce in the tough times is what makes or breaks you. Nationally we have a team of leaders who have stepped up during this time and showed integrity, resilience and drive. I’m proud of this commendation from Glassdoor, one which TeacherActive would not have achieved without every team member showing passion and pride in what they do.”
