Glassdoor reveals 25 best jobs in the UK

HR Business Partner and HR Manager are the 11th and 14th best jobs in the UK based on Glassdoor’s new report, the 25 Best Jobs in the UK for 2021.

The Glassdoor job score is determined by weighing three factors equally: earning potential (median annual base salary), overall job satisfaction rating, and number of job openings. For a job title to be considered, it must receive at least 30 salary reports and at least 30 job satisfaction ratings shared by UK-based employees over the past year (11/12/2019-10/12/2020).

Product Manager has taken the top spot, up from second last year, and has been in the Top 25 Best Jobs for seven consecutive years. The highest paying job is Enterprise Architect (£71,932), Full Stack Engineer is the job with the highest satisfaction (4.4/5), and the job with highest number of openings is Business Development Manager (3,178).

The highest ranked new job is Dentist at number three. Demand for dentistry is high and as soon as the first lockdown ended in June 2020, consumers increased spending on dental services. The demand for cosmetic dentistry in particular has risen.

Tech dominates the list, with 12 of the Top 25, including Product Manager (#1), Enterprise Architect and Full Stack Engineer (#4). Ten of the 25 jobs are new this year, mainly tech roles such as: Mobile Engineer, Cloud Engineer and Front-End Engineer.

Some of the Best jobs that dropped out of the Top 25 include Finance Manager (former #8), Contract Manager (former #10), Software Engineer (former #11) and Strategy Manager (former #14).
