APPRENTICE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT Steve Ball Recruitment Ltd are looking to recruit an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant. Based in our offices in the centre of Beverley, we are a small but ambitious Recruitment Agency that specialise in the supply of both permanent and temporary staff. We cover a wide range of sectors including Technical/Engineering, Construction, Property, Procurement and the Public Sector. We are keen to pass on our knowledge and experience to the next generation of professional recruiters. The office is friendly with a positive culture and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to study for an NVQ in either Business Administration, Customer Service or Sales. As an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant your role will definitely be varied. There will be face-to-face meetings with clients and candidates as you progress but in the initial stages the role is predominantly phone based. You will be making calls to clients (companies that are looking for staff and want you to find them a new employee) and candidates (people who are looking for a new position to progress their career and want you to find them a new job) and learn how to match the right candidate with the right client so that everyone is happy! An Apprentice Recruitment Consultant works closely with our experienced Consultants so they can give you the skills you'll need to succeed. There will be plenty of in-house training plus the opportunity to obtain an NVQ leading to a professional qualification combined with on-the-job practical experience. You will be given all the support needed to be successful in a positive atmosphere. We have a fun working environment at Steve Ball Recruitment, but also work extremely hard to exceed the expectations of both our clients and candidates. The successful Apprentice Recruitment Consultant will soon be given the opportunity to earn commission in addition to a basic salary. We also understand everyone moves at their own pace and take the long term view of your development. As an apprentice your role is to learn so you can contribute in the future. There is no pressure for instant results, what we ask for is effort alongside a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. If you keep your side of the bargain you'll quickly build a career and uncapped earning potential. Day to day activity for an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant includes client research, administrative tasks, calling new clients, helping to arrange visits for consultants and interviewing candidates over the phone. During the course of your training programme you'll be introduced to all the activities conducted by an experienced consultant. You will be guided through the process and receive expert advice from us along the way. As your training progresses you will gradually take on more responsibility, be signed off as competent for more and more aspects of the role, until your apprenticeship finishes and you are a fully-fledged Recruitment Consultant. Apprentice Recruitment Consultant - Skills and Experience Required - Good standard of English and Maths with good communication skills - Good organisational and time management skills - Good attention to detail - Professional business-like manner - Confident and friendly with a desire to help - Good team player - Knowledge of IT and Microsoft Word and Excel - Most important is that you have good communication skills and enjoy talking to people, you are keen and willing to learn, and have the desire to do well.
