COMPANY DESCRIPTION We are delighted to be partnering with a private training provider based in Gateshead, who are a professional supplier of Vocational and compliance training for businesses, offering a wide range of apprenticeships, traineeships and commercial training. Specialising in a number of areas including Construction, Office and Professional, IT and Marketing and Health & Safety Training, the organisation are currently experiencing a period of growth, which will increase their headcount significantly in the coming year. THE ROLE Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will join a small team as a Business Development and Recruitment Assistant. Within this role, you will be responsible for engaging with employers in order to find vacancies for apprenticeships. How you go about acquiring this new business will be largely down to you, but this could encompass a mixture of calls, emails, online approaches and networking events. You will also work closely with Sales and Marketing, aiming to come up with innovative ideas for creating new business opportunities. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support in the recruitment process. Due to the growth the company is experiencing, there will also be excellent opportunities for progression on offer, whereby you could be the given the responsibility of line managing some of the team members within a few months. YOUR EXPERIENCE You will be expected to hit the ground running and so will ideally come from a recruitment background and have had exposure to sales and business generation. You will therefore be a natural communicator and enjoy speaking with and meeting new people. Knowledge of the training industry would be advantageous to your application and it will also be beneficial if you have experience of, and enjoying working with, young adults (aged 16-18). THE SALARY AND CONTRACT You will receive a basic annual salary (to be reviewed after the first three months) and also benefit from a commission structure, which you will be eligible for after your first two months with the business.
