Job Description

We are seeking a senior business development professional to join an expanding educational recruitment business in Milton Keynes. As Senior Education Business Developer you will come to the business with an extensive career within the education executive recruitment sector, and a black book of contacts you can bring into the company. Whilst this is a senior role it will be extremely hands on, and you must bring extensive top level education business development experience within the trusts and private educational sectors. The successful candidate must be a proficient and passionate new business developer, ideally coming with a strong career of BD and comfortable targeting and pitching to C-level operatives in the education sector. Your experience could potentially come from a number of professional services fields such as software, office supplies, legal support, accountancy, marketing, consultancy services althoug business development from  executive education recruitment would be preferred. Candidates from executive search roles within education recruitment and open to a business development focused role could be considered. A large part of this role will be presenting and pitching, as a result please be aware that you will be required to present as part of this process, and only the candidates with the right experience that do extensive research and give the best presentations will be considered for the role. If you are not comfortable presenting, or you are not prepared to put in extensive research and preparation to secure this role please do not apply.  Whilst the role is based in Cambridge, once bedded in this position can be predominatly field based so location of applicants can be flexible. Roles and Responsibilities will include: Establishing and continuing business development strategy Hitting an agreed performance target Working in collaboration with management to drive development Effectively using LinkedIn and other media sources to research, scope and confirm client meetings and opportunities. Experience/Skills sought in the successful candidate: Extensive background in either education recruitment or education services Black book of education contacts at a senior level across the UK Integrity and confidentiality Strong interpersonal skills Consultative approach This is a fantastic opportunity for an articulate, professional and confident communicator to take a top level business development role in the professional services sector.
