tfconnect is an independently run talent consultancy, specialising in the exhibition and conference sector. We are recognised for our expertise in delivering exceptional talent to the global events industry – from entry-level to senior executives! As the business continues to grow – we’re now in need of a talented and highly intelligent individual with experience in the events world to lead the charge on our global business development strategy. The role will involve working closely with the recruitment team, the marketing department and our MD to do all of the following: * Nurturing and developing existing client relationships by identifying and serving their needs. * Building new relationships with events businesses great and small as well as establishing new contacts within existing clients. * Taking care of a ‘hotlist’ of A-class talent. Spotting and creating opportunities to take this talent to market and to speculatively introduce these individuals to our client base. * Driving the success of a range of initiatives from new talent ‘products’ to third-party connected services. * Developing organisation charts and undertaking detailed research to inform and shape our business development strategy. You’ll need to be quick-witted and highly organised with a knack for uncovering and grabbing opportunities. We’re also looking for the following: * Someone with a career history in the events industry who understands how the global exhibition and conference industries work (and who the key players are!). * Established success within a sales capacity. You’ll need to have the drive to remain focussed on long-term sales goals while always putting the customer at the centre of everything you do. * Proven ability to not only organise yourself but to build your own strategy. You’ll always need to know where your next success is coming from. * Unshakeable attention to detail, pride and belief in what the tfconnect brand stands for. You’ll also need to be presentable and personable as you’ll be expected to regularly meet and network with other events professionals.
