Carer Recruitment Officer (Part time 4 days a week) 9 month Maternity Cover Location: Fostering Relations (Glasgow - Hillington) Closing Date: 21st August 2016 Salary: £23,000 pro rata and £3000 pro rata Car allowance and opportunity to earn Bonus pay. (Actual salary £18,400 plus Car Allowance £2400) Job ID: 45562 Car Owner/Driver essential Currently there is a shortfall of over 10,000 foster carers to support the needs of looked after children and young people. We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, healthy and happy and so are committed to provide this for children and young people who have experienced abuse, disruption and trauma in their lives. Our aim is to provide best service through support, training and remuneration to carers and to value the enormous contribution they make to the lives of children who cannot live with their own family. To ensure we are able to continue and enhance our service provision we are looking to recruit a Carer Recruitment Officer to manage foster carer recruitment across the Scottish Region. This post is initially for nine month period to cover for Maternity Absence. Responsibilities include the development of recruitment strategies with our central marketing team as well as setting up and attending events and campaigns to attract potential carers. Also maintaining a recruitment database and tracking foster carer applications on the system and reporting on a regular basis. An appreciation of the fostercare service and a commitment to children and young people is essential along with the ability to engage with potential foster carers quickly. Carer Recruitment Officers require excellent IT skills, with an emphasis on Excel and reporting packages, also web based management skills would be a distinct advantage and great communication skills using all mediums. A previous background in a recruitment capacity would be advantageous. The role is office based in Hillington, Glasgow it will include travel around the Scotland Region therefore a car owner/driver is essential.
