Our client is a top tier Higher Education Institution which enrols over 9,000 students, recruiting for three positions: Deputy Head of HR Operations/ Recruitment & Retention Manager/ Reward & Policy Manager The salaries for these positions each have a banding of £41,458 - £49,059, depending on experience. DEPUTY HEAD OF HR OPERATIONS Duties will include (but not limited to): * Leading on a day to day basis on a range of HR projects, as directed, to improve HR operations and link to the overall objectives of the College * Heading up on the design, improvement, maintenance and monitoring of HR policies and processes related to HR Operations * Liaising with the Head of HR Operations, HR Systems team, IT Services and College users to ensure that IT systems facilitate an effective HR Operational Service * Working with a wide range of management information producing reports and other data using a range of sources in response to HR and stakeholder needs to facilitate high quality HR operational delivery and strategic goals *Identifying training needs and devising and delivering training and briefing sessions as applicable, working with other colleagues in HR as appropriate The successful candidate must have strong working knowledge of key employment legislation and be CIPD L5 qualified RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION MANAGER Duties will include (but not limited to): * Maintaining a proactive continual overview of strategic plans and advise the Head of HR Operations about potential future resourcing implications * Working closely with the Head of HR Operations and other HR colleagues to feed into HR improvements and process design for all areas of the HR function including taking the lead on the identification and design of recruitment and retention processes * Designing, implement implementing and reviewing the Recruitment and Retention Policy framework and amend/update as necessary * Managing an efficient and value for money recruitment service to managers through e-recruitment and other methods as applicable * Lead on reviewing, writing and implementing recruitment processes and documentation and ensure these are streamlined, consistent and of a high standard * Managing the recruitment team effectively, allocating workload, undertaking appraisals and other performance related reviews as necessary The successful candidate must have strong working knowledge of employment legislation relating to recruitment, equality and diversity and be CIPD L5 qualified REWARD AND POLICY MANAGER Duties will include (but not limited to): *Responsibility for leading on the review, rewriting and maintenance of the HR policies and related documents ensuring best practice including reference to ACAS guidelines, legal compliance and adherence to rules and regulations to promote the achievement of strategic objectives in a timely manner * Assisting senior management as appropriate in consultation with the trade unions, staff groups and other stakeholders in ensuring the timely and best practice implementation of HR policies and related documentation * Liaising with senior management to lead on the design and implementation of all the reward policies and overall strategy, working closely with key stakeholders to promote objectives * Researching and collating pay and reward data, monitor, analyse and present statistical information including benchmarking data for reward committees and as directed to inform the design of reward processes * Researching and preparing a range of briefings and reports for committees and others as directed by the Director of HR and head of HR Operations including the Executive, Planning and Resources Committee and Remuneration Committee as required The successful candidate must have strong working knowledge of employment legislation relating to recruitment, equality and diversity and be CIPD L7 qualified James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role
