Base Location: Glasgow, Perth or Edinburgh Salary: £31,500 - £47,900 depending on skills and experience Permanent | Full Time, however flexible working patterns available About the Department SSE Human Resources is made up of several operational and specialist teams who strive to help the business to design, develop and deliver their people strategies. We partner with the business to provide expert advice on all people matters, enabling them to get the best out of their teams and equip them to meet the changing demands of our business now, and in the future. This is a newly created role which sits within our SSE Resourcing Team, who manage all attraction and recruitment activity across the Group. Working collaboratively with the Resourcing Managers and Group Communications Team, you'll help us develop, implement and evolve our digital recruitment marketing strategy, to attract and engage candidates from the broadest possible talent pool. What is the Role? With your digital marketing experience, you'll be responsible for using our existing social media, attraction and digital channels to promote SSE to both passive and active candidate markets. You'll work very closely with our central Group Communications function ensure a co-ordinated approach to the delivery of information, ensuring all content is in line with brand guidelines and appealing to potential candidates. We'll need you to be creative, as you'll be required to produce high quality materials (imagery, infographics, video content, communications, etc) that can be used to positively promote SSE as a great place to work and encourage the broadest possible range of applications. As many of the concepts you create will act as the window to our organisation, ensuring all communications promote SSE as an inclusive employer, are accessible for a wide audience, and can be accessed in alternative formats will be essential. As an expert in your field, we'll look to you to research, manage and evaluate the effectiveness of our existing channels, and provide feedback and insight into future channel development. This will involve engaging with current partners, ensuring we are maximising these partnerships and engaging with potential new suppliers/channels. What do I need? To be considered for this role, experience in a similar digital marketing role across a variety of online and social media channels is essential. Although recruitment marketing experience is not essential, it would be advantageous. Financially savvy, you'll also need to be able to assess the performance of new and existing media. Experience in using analytics tools and big data to evaluate current practices and evaluate future technologies, providing recommendations and solutions is also required. You'll need to have demonstrable experience in communications development, preferably via a variety of media (e.g. video, infographics, email, photography, social media posts, etc) and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail, planning and organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines. We'd also love you to have:- - Existing knowledge of (or capability to develop) in-depth knowledge of the energy sector, the key challenges and opportunities we are facing and SSE's corporate response to them. - Base level understanding of SSE Groups range of businesses and operations with capability to build strong awareness of BU objectives and Group strategy. - Experience of dealing with 3rd parties - Attention to detail and ability to turn complex information into engaging content. - Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to proactively seek and build relationships that will help us further build our EVP/brand externally. - Financial awareness. - Ability to build credibility / trust quickly and effectively. - Confidence to directly respond to or escalate issues that pose a reputational risk to the SSE Group.
