Avon Wildlife Trust – Direct Sales Membership Recruiter (£10 per hour + commission; average £12.50 - £16.50/hr). Are YOU stuck in a deadening job? AWT is the biggest local wildlife charity in the county looking after 30+ amazing nature reserves and, with 6 out 10 UK species are under threat, we need more members than ever to enable us to protect even more threatened local wildlife. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexibility in their working life, enjoys working under their own initiative but with great support, and the freedom to make a difference for a great cause. If you have a desire to ‘put something back’ into the community, very strong earning potential – basic plus generous uncapped commission – with a variety of working environments and want to be treated as a person. In our recent staff survey our recruiters commented on the varied working environment, flexibility, being part of a passionate family atmosphere and helping raise money for an amazing local charity. The basic hourly rate is £10 per hour during the probationary period with average earnings of £12.50 - £16.50, rising to over £20-£30 per hr (uncapped) for our most successful staff. We also offer 40p per mile travel expenses and a pension scheme. You will receive an excellent training programme along with ongoing support. We work a wide variety of pre-booked venues and events from shows, garden centres, farmers markets, retail stores, etc., using our Trust-branded information display and equipment to engage with members of the public. No street fundraising or cash collecting. Due the success and experience of the team, we’re looking for regular weekly working, typically from 2 -5 days, which should include a weekend day. This is a permanent, employed job with South West Wildlife Fundraising (‘SWWFL’), uniquely wholly owned by 8 South and West Wildlife Trusts and works on a not-for-profit basis.
