The Apprenticeships team are expanding to meet the current demand for Apprentice Recruitment and Distance Learning and as such are looking to appoint an organised and efficient individual to join as an Apprentice. This is a great opportunity for an individual with enthusiasm and great organisational skills to begin a rewarding career within the education sector. You will have a strong desire to help others in achieving good results through their learning. Within this rewarding role you will effectively split your time between supporting the Distance Learning team with monitoring student progress and following up on deadlines, whilst also supporting the Apprenticeship Recruitment team with setting up interviews and skills testing arrangements. The role requires effective front line support and therefore you will have excellent communication skills, a flair for providing a great level of service face to face and by telephone and have outstanding organisation ability. This role will provide the successful candidate with a broad general experience within administration and the opportunity to gain a qualification upon completion of the Apprenticeship. As the successful candidate for the position of Apprentice: Distance Learning & Apprenticeship Recruitment, you will possess the following essential knowledge, skills and experience; * Have a good basic level of education, to include a minimum of 5 x GCSEs at Grades A* - C including English and Maths * Have good Skills for Life (literacy, numeracy and language) and be willing to develop these further * Have good IT Skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook * Be motivated to work in a busy office environment * Have the ability and confidence to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders * Have good communication skills (both oral and written) * Have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative * Be able to meet tight deadlines cheerfully and with enthusiasm * Demonstrate good time keeping skills and have evidence of a good attendance record In return, we offer a wide range of benefits to our employees, including: Childcare vouchers, a multitude of training opportunities, Car Salary Sacrifice, Cycle to Work, a number of local discounts in Milton Keynes, LGPS and TPS pensions, free parking at our main campus sites and discount at our onsite Brasserie restaurant and The Graduate Salon.
