ROLE PURPOSE:   Responsibility for delivering the UK early careers recruitment strategy in line with overall Business requirements. Attracting and recruiting high potential talent within MBDA into apprentice, graduate, undergraduate, summer placement and work experience roles. Managing a small team including an advisor and administrator.   MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES   Attraction and Recruitment – Organisation and attendance at national and local events both campus and school activity, including role profiling, advertising and assessment phases. Managing and maintaining a positive candidate experience throughout. - Attraction – Set attraction and recruitment strategy for all early careers development programmes. Organisation of and attendance at national careers events in universities, colleges or schools and ensuring diversity in recruitment is recognised. - MBDA Careers website and recruitment system – responsible for ensuring that the external website and Taleo is maintained with accurate and timely information. - Advertising – Working and negotiating with job boards, websites and careers services with additional promotion through social media channels such as LinkedIn and Twitter. - Applicant review - Responsible for recruitment activities for university students – from the initial review of all applications, overseeing the online assessment, through to liaising with key business contacts on applicant selection for assessment days. - Remuneration package review – Work with Remuneration and Benefits to agree starting salaries, joining bonuses, package etc. - Delivery of Education and Liaison policies and processes into the Business - liaison with external community and schools network. Project management and implementation of planned E&L related projects in line with HR calendar (e.g. Farnborough / work experience / Nuffield students). - Training – Train managers involved in recruitment process and materials to enable assessment days to run smoothly and professionally. - Assessment Day – Organising, designing and delivering annual assessment days for all schemes. Develop and manage recruitment material. - Onboarding  - facilitating the integration of new programme participants, liaising with key contacts within the business ensuring pre-employment requirements have been met and that the facebook group for new starters is maintained and utilised. - Pre-joining day activities – Organisation and delivery of the pre-joining events each year - Management of undergraduates and summer placements whilst on site – Overall pastoral care for placement students ensuring they have a challenging relevant placement, and that offers are made to returning students. Management of clockings, time and absences through the Open Options system. - Budgets – manage recruitment and advertising budgets.   Relationship management - Technical Co-ordinators - Responsible for coordinating the TC`s to ensure delivery of programme delivery across the UK business. - Supplier Management - Responsible for engaging and supporting external suppliers for various graduate development activities. - Industry representation - Represent MBDA externally within Graduate industry forums - HR and managers – Maintain and develop strong relationships across HR and the business   General - Administration - Ensure all associated admin is completed to the required standard and in a timely fashion on Taleo and any associated reporting - HR Projects - Support other team projects and take responsibility for assigned actions to time and to quality - Management – Manage a small team including an advisor and administrator SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Experience and understanding of graduate and apprentice recruitment, preferably gained within an onsite/internal role - Experience of managing a small team highly beneficial - Experience and understanding of an annual volume rotation - Budget Management and negotiation skills - Microsoft office experience: Good Excel skills, proficient user of PowerPoint and Word - Attention to detail - Ability to work at pace, under pressure and across all levels of the organisation - Excellent organisation and planning skills - Ability to multi-task with a range of relatively complex support/administration activities - Strong communication skills both written and verbal - Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload - Numerate with strong problem solving, analytical  and reporting skills - Ability to persuade and influence others at a more senior level. - Monitor and prioritise workflow to achieve deadlines. - Respect and maintain confidentiality - Understand and have a working knowledge of current HR legislation and policies - Be a self starter and motivated to execute this role to an excellent standard
