Executive Search Researcher

ROLE:  Executive Search Researcher

LOCATION: London (Central)

TERMS and CONDITIONS: Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 6pm. Permanent



Altum Consulting is an innovative mid to senior level search and interim management organisation focused on Executive Search, Business Transformation and Finance and Accountacy. We are expanding rapidly and have recently opened our first international office in Amsterdam. Our growth is as a result of our proactive approach, passion and successful track record. We are looking for an Executive Researcher to support the Executive Directors build and develop the Executive Search business at Altum Consulting. 


Research - support retained search mandates won through:

  • Generation of candidates via referrals and head hunting
  • Writing and posting advertisements (where appropriate) and managing the responses
  • Engaging with prospective candidates to decide their relevance for specific client mandates 
  • Helping to manage candidates through the internal (Altum) and external (Client) interview processes ensuring regular communication and all candidates are aware of feedback at appropriate times
  • Support the writing of shortlists including detailed interview notes, competency scores and visual scoring (head maps, skill diagrams). 
  • Supporting directors present information to clients 
  • Helping the Directors to think Innovatively about the value a search firm can deliver to their clients, candidates and colleagues including our approach to research in both our generation and presentation of great profiles


Business insights - support the development of the external perception of Altum Consulting as a premier search firm in the London and International markets through the preparation of whitepapers and networking events. This would involve a wide range of duties including:

  • Generating ideas for whitepapers in collaboration with the director
  • Organising and attending (where appropriate) meetings with external executives to gather information for whitepapers 
  • Building and writing briefing notes for clients for pitches and other purposes
  • Supporting the directors with creating and running networking events including (but not limited to) helping to decide upon and booking venues, managing invites and target lists and preparing the venue
  • Helping the Directors to think Innovatively about the value a search firm can deliver to their clients, candidates and colleagues including our business insights
