Job Description

My client, an established and growing Training Company are looking for an Initial Guidance & Recruitment Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Apprenticeships Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for providing initial guidance and support to new and progressing learners through the start process. Accountable for ensuring all documentation, criteria and eligibility evidence is compliant with contract requirements. The Role: * Responsible for arranging appointments with employers / learners to complete the sign up process for new qualifications * Responsible for providing information, advice and guidance to support individuals in their choice of qualification * Accountable for completing workplace and job role analysis to ensure learners are signed up on appropriate qualifications. * Responsible for completing assessments / skills scans, via bespoke on-line system(s) to identify level of learning * Responsible for offering alternatives and signposting to other agencies, if the business is unable to deliver the appropriate qualification * Accountable for setting clear expectations of the learner's journey and providing information on the qualification requirements and standards * Providing support information and guidance options for the learner * Completing start paperwork and eligibility checks in line with contract requirements * Responsible for identifying any new potential learners in workplace settings * Responsible for completing employer health and safety vetting activities in workplace settings in a timely manner * Accountable for ensuring that the workplace vetting complies with all relevant legislation and standards. * Management information and exception reporting * Accountable for evaluating the service against aims and objectives, identifying areas for improvement * Completing all corrective and referral actions, in a timely fashion, ensuring contract compliance * To work closely with other departments to ensure the communication in respect of the sign-up process is effective and robust Essential skills and Qualifications: * Experience of working in a commercial sector * Administration and Customer Service Experience * A1 Qualifications or equivalent * Maths & English GCSE A-C or equivalent qualifications * Full Driving Licence and own vehicle * Excellent communication * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Organisational skills * Excellent attention to detail * A high degree of IT literacy Salary: £18,000 - £23,00 Location: Cardiff
