My client is a Recruitment Agency who awarded as one of the 100 best companies to work for in 2019. They are looking for a Qualified Solicitor who has a strong working knowledge of contract law, drafting and negotiating Overall Purpose of the Role: You will have overall responsibility for advising the company on all relevant legal matters and management of the Legal team. The team is responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts between the company and third parties. The aim is to ensure the risk to the company is minimal and to ensure compliance with the law at all times. The Legal department acts on behalf of the company in all legal disputes in court, or through mediation and negotiation. The team collaborates with other departments across the business, for example; Billing and Credit Control - for credit checks and to recover outstanding debt from clients; Compliance And Payroll Team (CAPT) - to resolve complex queries with or recover monies from contractors; Sales - to agree client terms. Skills Required: Qualified Solicitor Strong working knowledge of contract law, drafting and negotiating Understanding of contract recruitment, the laws and associated guidelines a significant benefit, particularly IR35 Initiative - identify problems, propose solutions and make commercial but legally sound recommendations Ability to communicate with and influence both internal and external customers whilst maintaining a diplomatic, fair but firm approach Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills A strong manager and team player who is also capable of working autonomously, when required A European language, particularly German, a benefit Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointPlease note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person's gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
