An exciting, 6 month fixed term maternity cover, opportunity has risen to support the Human Resources Manager in providing a generalist, comprehensive and effective HR service to the business, in particular co-ordinating recruitment, including safer recruitment practices and HR administration. The generalist responsibilities of the HR and Recruitment Administrator will include: * Responsibility for all administrative processes in the recruitment cycle from placing advertisements through to induction * Ensuring that the recruitment cycle complies with safer recruitment practices, including DBS checks, referencing and right to work. * Organising and coordinating interviews to include arranging the venue, interview panel and interview paperwork. * Administering the process for new employees; preparing contracts, offer letters and supporting documentation. * Conduct company induction with new employees and liaise with managers to ensure they are aware of their responsibility in the induction process. * Administer the probation process ensuring managers know when review meetings need to take place. * Ensuring the HR database accurately reflects current staff conditions; inputting starters and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details, annual leave and recording of absences. * Provide appropriate reports from the HR database for the purpose of auditing and monitoring employee data and training. * Creation of job advertisements, liaising with the relevant Manager regarding suitable wording. * Developing and maintaining the applicant tracking system. * Supporting the HR Manager and line managers with disciplinary and grievance hearings as a note-taker * Provide monthly reports detailing absence, turnover, retention, starters and leavers * Take full ownership of the HR database to ensure personnel information is accurate and up to date * Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders are a pre-requisite * Support HR Manager with any other HR administrative duties as may be required We are looking for an immediate start on completion of the pre-employment checks.
