HR Officer – recruitment Coordinator needed in Central London £14.86-£16.95ph ref 206929 This is a temp role working full time hours and subject to police check. Role - To assist in the provision of HR support and advice. To administer a wide range of HR procedures relating to employee resourcing and relations. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • To assist HR Business Partners in the provision of advice to managers and staff, relating to terms and conditions and police regulations, as appropriate. • To maintain the HR records systems (manual and computerised) ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date, producing reports and management information from the HR database as required. • To assist HR Business Partners in all aspects of attendance management. • To assist the recruitment managers in the completion of the recruitment process, producing employment contracts, and undertaking shortlisting and interviews for vacancies as required. • To participate in provision of staff induction, ensuring all necessary information is Co-ordinated and administered accordingly. • To administer all starters and leavers including resignations/transferees and retirements by processing all required paperwork for pay and pensions and entering their leaving details on the HR database. • To co-ordinate information and carry out correspondence in relation to sickness, insurance claims and personal injury claims by or for officers. • To administer staff terms and conditions of service including maternity/paternity leave, variations to contracts, probation reports and references, and housing/rent allowances. • To provide administration and HR support to the HR Business Partners as required Knowledge • Knowledge of the Police Service and/or the City of London Corporation. • Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures. Experience • Experience in the delivery of day-to-day HR services is essential. • Proven experience in interpreting and applying policies and procedures Desirable • Experience of Windows based software and using a HR Information System would be an advantage. • CIPD qualification
